Gelato, Gelato, Gelato!
Obviously, I love creamy, frozen treats.
Obviously. Thank goodness Playa Del Carmen was full of delicious options. After I filmed this video, I tried the gelato from Amorino's, an Italian chain with locations in multiple countries. I had never heard of them before Playa, so I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. Well, I was surprised to see that their gelato was twice the price of the local chains. They pride themselves on high-quality ingredients, but it's gelato, not a steak, so how much of a difference can it make?

OMG - AMORINO'S IS EVERYTHING.
I ordered a scoop of the chocolate and lemon the first time, and was all in. I went back later and got a to-go container of chocolate and mango, and it was even better. Of course, my options are limited to the dairy-free versions, but this was the best dairy-free gelato I've ever had. It's pretty hard to find dairy free chocolate gelato, but theirs was creamy and smooth, and absolute perfection. If you're in Playa Del Carmen or any other city with an Amorino's check them out and PLEASE report back on the dairy flavors - I can't eat them, but you can and then describe them to me :)
